Busy Couple of Weeks

We have had a busy couple of weeks. Erik and I got an ice cream maker for our wedding that I am embarrassed to say we had never used. Until now...Avery made some ice cream! And of course, it was blue:) It was actually very tasty. I also cannot get over how old she looks in this picture-she is getting so big!
She thought it was excellent! It was pretty easy-we will be making more!
Harper is 4 months old and has started rolling over. She is such a happy baby!
the girls
We had a playdate with all the girls I play bunko with. It was quite the group. From the left is Peyton Smith, Maddox Johnson and those are his new little sisters in front-Laney and Emerson, Mallory and Henry Pierce, Harper and Avery.

We went to the zoo and it was HOT!!! Harper was a trooper but I'm not sure she was really having that much fun.
The big kids didn't seem to mind the heat though. Chloe is on the far left and Avery is right in the middle. The other 3 are my friend Erica's triplets. I believe Mady is on the left and Emmy and Carson are to the right of Avery. It was fun seeing all the animals and the kids were all great but I think we might go for an indoor activity next time!
Happy Father's Day!! We went miniature golfing and to do the go-karts for Father's Day. Avery did well the first few holes and then was more interested in being another obstacle for Erik and I. But she was happy and having fun so we were ok with that. We only made it 9 holes before we moved on to the go-karts.
She really liked her ride with her daddy! She said he was going pretty fast. She has become very observant in the car lately. The other day she asked Erik why he was going when the light was red and he had to attempt to explain that you can turn right on red if no cars are coming. And then she insisted on getting in the front seat when we got home so he could tell her what the speedometer was and how it worked. She can't be getting into cars already-she has a long ways to go before she is getting one!!

We Love Summer!!

Harper is getting so big!! She is just smiling, laughing and starting to really interact. Avery is having a lot of fun with her now!
Happy Birthday Chloe!!! She is 3 now and Avery will be right behind her.
Avery, Chloe and Marin at Chloe's Dorothy Zoo party.
Gymnastics Class: Avery loves it! She does the bars, the balance beam and is learning how to do somersaults. They got medals on the last night of this session and one of the little girls brought everyone a beanie baby. We are doing it again this summer though.

We have two little fishies! We have been to the pool almost every day. Avery is doing great swimming with just her floaties and not needing us to hold her all the time. And boy does she sleep good after an hour at the pool!!
Harper really likes the water too. She is 4 months old now:)
First trip to Deanna Rose for the summer. Avery, Mallory and Chloe had a great time!

Even Harper liked seeing all the animals!
Avery and Mallory started T-ball. It is a lot more technical than the soccer was but I think they will like it.

Chloe had her first dance debut!! She did great and was just so cute up there! Avery is doing a little dance camp this summer so we will see how she does.

May pics

Harper is 3 months old!!
Parents as Teachers brought this for Avery to practice writing her name. She loves it and is so proud that she can do it by herself!
Avery's school had a Spring Sing. It was very cute. Avery did wonderful--she sang all the songs and knew all the actions. She had quite the crowd watching--thanks to everyone that came!! She is on the far right.
We took the girls to a pottery place for Mother's Day. They put their footprints on a plate. Avery had a lot of fun painting the plate and making her footprints but Harper just slept through the whole thing. Can't wait to see the finished product-it will be a great keepsake!

The 4 girls on Mother's Day!
I can't figure out how to rotate this picture but it was so cute I had to put it in here. Emma is on the left and Harper on the right.
Avery and Chloe with Papa!
Avery and Chloe had their last day of soccer in the rain! It got cut short because of the weather but they got their medals and loved them!

A lot of firsts.....

We got out the bumbo seat for Harper to sit in recently. She actually does pretty good in it. But the bumbo seat is blue and so Avery thinks that it should be her seat and that Harper should sit in her pink chair. So, you can't see it but Avery has her little rear squeezed into the baby bumbo seat in this picture!!

Avery and Chloe have started Itty Bitty Soccer. It is pretty cute and they do pretty good for the most part. This week they had their first scrimmage and Avery would not play at all. She told me that there were too many kids playing with only one ball!! Obviously we did not explain the game to her very well!! But it is fun and she will be playing Itty Bitty T-Ball this summer. She is also doing gymnastics right now and is really enjoying that.
Avery flying a kite at the kite festival. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day! We skipped naps and were there for like 4 hours!

We got out the baby swing! Harper really liked it. Avery liked to push her and the fact that she could swing next to her.
Avery and Mallory being great big sisters!! Baby Henry was born last weekend. Tracey's water broke at Aiden's first birthday party--it was a very exciting day!! We are so happy for them--he is such a cutie!
Harper finally got to sit with us at the table. She had fun being able to see us and not being stuck on the floor. Avery thought it was nice to have an extra tray to set some of her food and drink on! It was nice to eat with all 4 us as a family though!

Hope everyone is doing well!

March and Easter

Sitting in Cinderella's Carriage

Over spring break, Laura, Molly and Jackson came in from Dallas. We had such a great time. The kids all had so much fun playing together. We went to Paradise Park and down to Crown Center. There was a Fairy Tale Exhibit that the kids played at and then we ate at Fritz's. We got to play outside just a little bit because the weather wasn't that great. And after they left we had a huge snowstorm. This is Avery's snowman that she and Erik built. His name is Tony. Avery is on a kick where every doll and stuffed animal that she has is named Tony. Our neighbor's name is Tony and I guess that is where it came from--who knows with her!!
Avery loved coloring her Easter Eggs! I probably should have boiled more eggs but she had a great time! The package that we had included brown dye--who wants to color their eggs brown?? Well, Avery has recently gotten a cd and a set of books of different songs that teach you how to spell all of the color words. Thank you Stacy:) And she LOVES it! We listen to the cd everywhere we go and we read the books every night. She knows a lot of the songs and can spell almost all of the colors! And brown is one of her favorites actually because it talks about a lot of chocolate things. So, she was all about coloring her eggs brown!
Harper has started to smile!! She is doing great! She is 2 months old now and got her first set of shots. Erik took her but said she was a real trooper!
The Easter Bunny brought Avery several things but she was most excited about getting Big Girl Shampoo and Body Wash! She has graduated from Johnson and Johnson! She was so proud!!
Family Easter Picture
Avery and Chloe got aprons and chef hats--they are so cute!!
We went to the park after naps today. It was a little sunny so I found this hat for Harper. I thought it was pretty cute so I had to take a pic!
