A lot of firsts.....

We got out the bumbo seat for Harper to sit in recently. She actually does pretty good in it. But the bumbo seat is blue and so Avery thinks that it should be her seat and that Harper should sit in her pink chair. So, you can't see it but Avery has her little rear squeezed into the baby bumbo seat in this picture!!

Avery and Chloe have started Itty Bitty Soccer. It is pretty cute and they do pretty good for the most part. This week they had their first scrimmage and Avery would not play at all. She told me that there were too many kids playing with only one ball!! Obviously we did not explain the game to her very well!! But it is fun and she will be playing Itty Bitty T-Ball this summer. She is also doing gymnastics right now and is really enjoying that.
Avery flying a kite at the kite festival. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day! We skipped naps and were there for like 4 hours!

We got out the baby swing! Harper really liked it. Avery liked to push her and the fact that she could swing next to her.
Avery and Mallory being great big sisters!! Baby Henry was born last weekend. Tracey's water broke at Aiden's first birthday party--it was a very exciting day!! We are so happy for them--he is such a cutie!
Harper finally got to sit with us at the table. She had fun being able to see us and not being stuck on the floor. Avery thought it was nice to have an extra tray to set some of her food and drink on! It was nice to eat with all 4 us as a family though!

Hope everyone is doing well!

March and Easter

Sitting in Cinderella's Carriage

Over spring break, Laura, Molly and Jackson came in from Dallas. We had such a great time. The kids all had so much fun playing together. We went to Paradise Park and down to Crown Center. There was a Fairy Tale Exhibit that the kids played at and then we ate at Fritz's. We got to play outside just a little bit because the weather wasn't that great. And after they left we had a huge snowstorm. This is Avery's snowman that she and Erik built. His name is Tony. Avery is on a kick where every doll and stuffed animal that she has is named Tony. Our neighbor's name is Tony and I guess that is where it came from--who knows with her!!
Avery loved coloring her Easter Eggs! I probably should have boiled more eggs but she had a great time! The package that we had included brown dye--who wants to color their eggs brown?? Well, Avery has recently gotten a cd and a set of books of different songs that teach you how to spell all of the color words. Thank you Stacy:) And she LOVES it! We listen to the cd everywhere we go and we read the books every night. She knows a lot of the songs and can spell almost all of the colors! And brown is one of her favorites actually because it talks about a lot of chocolate things. So, she was all about coloring her eggs brown!
Harper has started to smile!! She is doing great! She is 2 months old now and got her first set of shots. Erik took her but said she was a real trooper!
The Easter Bunny brought Avery several things but she was most excited about getting Big Girl Shampoo and Body Wash! She has graduated from Johnson and Johnson! She was so proud!!
Family Easter Picture
Avery and Chloe got aprons and chef hats--they are so cute!!
We went to the park after naps today. It was a little sunny so I found this hat for Harper. I thought it was pretty cute so I had to take a pic!

More Pics

We had a Springfield reunion when Angie came in town. It was great getting all the kids together. It is so much fun that they are all so close in age. Here is Avery and Harper.
Drew is climbing on the back of the couch and then in front it is Avery, Aiden, Carter and Mallory. We had a great time and it was so good to see Ang!!
Avery loves the book Pinkalicious so we decided to make cupcakes like hers. BUT ours were all blue--of course!! Avery obviously liked the icing the best!
We had one really nice weekend so we headed outside. Here is Harper enjoying her first park experience! We have a hard time keeping her hats from covering her eyes.
Avery has gotten braver over the winter. She really wanted me to help her with the monkey bars but I wasn't tall enough--told her that was a daddy thing!
Avery and Mallory dressed up as little princesses and they have started posing for the camera!
This is my outfit from when I was a baby. Avery wore it too, however, I think it is a bit more snug on Harper. I love that my mom saved it for me. It is so special that my girls can wear it too. And yes...we are having some baby acne issues. It is getting better but it looks so bad in pictures. Poor baby!

Finally an update!!!

I have been really bad about this whole blog thing but I am going to try very hard to update it more often. So, this post has several pictures but I apologize for skipping about 9 months worth of pictures and updates--can I blame it on the pregnancy???

Harper Lynn is finally here! Feb 1, 2010.
The delivery went great and everyone is doing wonderful!
Chloe and Avery at the hospital. Avery was a little timid with Harper at the beginning but then was very proud to show off her little sister!
Avery loves to help out with Harper-she likes to give her a bottle and to watch us change her diaper. She has a special stool in Harper's room so she can see the changing table and crib better. And of course, it's blue!
Avery read Harper her first book. She actually read two-Panda Bear, Panda Bear and Brown, Bear, Brown Bear. Avery has both of these books memorized but is very proud to be "reading."
Super Bowl Party with Chloe and Emma.
These 4 girls are going to have so much fun growing up together!
Harper's Valentine's Day Tutu
Harper and her cute little hat--love it!
Avery's favorite movie these days is Wizard of Oz and she loves laying in our bed watching it with Harper. They are pretty cute together!
Life is definitely different with 2 little ones but we are all adjusting pretty well. I have really enjoyed my time off. I go back to work in a few weeks but am looking forward to summer!

We hope everyone is doing well and I promise to be better with the blog!!

End of May

BLUE COOKIES!!!!
The summer Oreos are blue this year and I LOVE them!!!
I hear it takes some people years to figure out how they like to eat their Oreos.  Not me...I figured it out in my short 22 months.  I like to break it apart and then eat all the icing out of the middle.  Sometimes I eat the cookie part but not always.....
But I always lick my fingers clean. And I like to wash mine down with a big cup of
 strawberry milk!!!
YUMMY!!!!!!!!

Today was Chloe's Curious George birthday party!  We had so much fun-I love parties!  I can't wait until it is my turn!  And my mommy can't believe that Chloe and I are turning 2 already....where did the time go????
Take that George!!
I didn't win but I was so close!!
Who doesn't love a little birthday cake??
Notice that I am only eating the blue icing!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!!
LOVE YOU BUNCHES!!!!
Uncle Adam and Jenn got free tickets to Jiggle Jam--a music festival for kids.  So, they took us to it this weekend!  There was a lot to do there!  My favorite thing was putting my feet in the water and splashing!  Here are some pics of other things we did there too......
I had to concentrate very hard on my beautiful artwork!
I was pretty good with the hula-hoops too!
We just hung out on the grass and ate fruit snacks while we listened to the music.  That was another great part!
I went to my first Royals Game!!  The New K was really cool!  I played on the playground and rode the carousel with Daddy!  They lost but it was fun and it didn't start raining until we were in the car!

My mommy is so mad she didn't have her camera with her so that she could show everyone a picture but I picked up a frog at Gammy and Papa's the other day!  Everyone was so shocked because normally I am very prissy but I picked it up and carried it over to show Chloe!  Then it got away and so I had to catch it again!  He was fast but I got him!

Last Couple of Weeks

I had my first big singing performance at my school's Spring Sing.  I didn't sing a whole lot but I knew a lot of the hand motions!  Mommy and Daddy couldn't make it because they had work but Grammy and Uncle Nicky came to watch and have cookies with Chloe and me.  (I'm on the far right front row in the group picture)

It was Safety Day with the Parents as Teachers Program.  I got to sit on a big school bus and meet a police officer.  Chloe sat in an ambulance but I was too scared!!

This is "Blue"--my new teddy bear!  Mommy and Daddy took me to Build-a-Bear this weekend!  Mommy wanted to do something special with me for Mother's Day.  We did fun things all weekend.  Making Blue was so cool.  I got to pick out an animal and help stuff it, put a heart in it and find clothes for her to wear.  I got a blue bear because blue is my new favorite color!  I want everything blue-including my second birthday party but Mommy isn't sold on the idea yet.  I'm still working on her though!

We also went to feed the fish---they are so big and there are so many of them!!!
Uncle Nicky went to Disneyland and brought me back this hat!  It is so special--it even has my name on the back!  I also got a princess t-shirt---thanks Uncle Nicky!!!!

After lunch on Sunday we went to Chloe's and tried out this big bouncy toy!  It was so fun!  Chloe and I jumped in it for so long.  I was really tired after that!

I hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day!  It was a really fun weekend for me and my family!
